The Theory of Everything

While director James Marsh's documentary subject from Man on Wire is getting his own feature film starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the filmmaker is turning the lens on his own narrative biopic with The Theory of Everything. The film focuses on genius English theoretical physicist, cosmologist and author Stephen Hawking (played by Les Miserables star Eddie Redmayne) in his younger years, before he was confined to a chair an unable to speak with his own voice, as he falls in love with another Cambridge student named Jane Wilde (Felicity Jones), and the two make a name for themselves in medicine and science.

Here's the first trailer for James Marsh's The Theory of Everything, originally from Apple:

The Theory of Everything is directed by James Marsh (Man on Wire) and written by Anthony McCarten (Death of a Superhero). The film tells the extraordinary story of one of the world’s greatest living minds, the renowned astrophysicist Stephen Hawking (Eddie Redmayne), who falls deeply in love with fellow Cambridge student Jane Wilde (Felicity Jones). With Jane fighting by his side, Stephen embarks on his most ambitious scientific work, studying the very thing he now has precious little of – time. Together, they defy impossible odds, breaking new ground in medicine and science, and achieving more than they ever dreamed. Emily Watson and David Thewlis also star in the film Focus Features releases on November 7th.

What a man. MND is brutal, he's done incredibly well to fight it. The performances in this look great too.
