The Amazing Spider-Man 2

"We have the power now. We can change the world." Well, this is it, folks. The final trailer for this summer's sequel The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has arrived, and with all the previous trailers that have popped up, it's a wonder there's anything left to show. Thankfully, this trailer has just the right amount of new stuff to keep interest, including a meeting of Electro (Jamie Foxx) and Green Goblin (Dane DeHaan). So there's cool new shots of those two villains facing Spider-Man, complete with a lot of impressive VFX. The action really seems to be the star in this trailer, but let's hope the story has the goods.

Here's the final trailer for Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2, straight from Sony Pictures:

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is directed by Marc Webb and written by Jeff Pinker, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) finds, life is busy between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can't come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten the promise he made to Gwen's father to protect her by staying away, but that's a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past. Sony will release Amazing Spider-Man 2 in theaters starting on May 2nd. How's that looking?

I feel like this trailer mostly brought it together, I felt all the other trailers were a mess but this one might get me to go see it on a cheap night.

All these trailers are having the reverse effect intended. Now I don't want to see this movie in the theaters....and where's Giamatti? He isn't in any of these trailers!

He's in there for a split second when Spidey is dodging bullets in slow motion. Paul is doing the shooting but you have to looks closely.

EPIC! I shall always be greateful to be living in this day and age whereby we are all fortunate enough to witness all our favourite comic books make it to the big screen! Thank you to the powers that be.

I'm going to a preview screening on 14 April, and I can't wait!

Holy shit that looks awesome!!Count me in!

I noticed they switched the manhole cover scene, in the early trailers Spidey was seen holding the cover in his hand and swinging around with it. In this trailer at the end he's swinging it around using webs, I like this way better.

How long has Sony had the rights to Spider-Man and they still don't know how to make a proper movie out the character!? Despite the shit work over at the MCU side at least they are trying! Stupid Green Goblin who looks like a rip of that New Goblin crap Spider-Man, whiny jokester Spider-Man with barely any character, and some version of Electro that looks like it could have walked off a set of a Nolan film (How Original). Rebooting Spider-Man, the wrong way. Thanks for the cash grab advertisement Sony oh yeah wanna shell out all my money for you guys to make another crappy Spider-Man movie.

There are cleaning up the CG! DeHane looks like he will steal the show.

DAVIDPD on Mar 19, 2014

Agree with you on DeHaan, he's a star in the making. I would glady trade half of that noisy CG for a decent script and interesting character scenes though.

I hope this turns out ok. The last one was beyond horrible, almost as bad and unwatchable as spiderman 3. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Garfield is a GREAT spiderman, Webb is a proven director. Half of the cast is AMAZING. I can't wait to watch this film!
