Elijah Wood Panics in Fast-Paced 'Open Windows' Web Thriller Trailer

August 15, 2014

Open Windows

Last year we got a tease of the unique web-based indie thriller Open Windows from Timecrimes director Nacho Vigolando. In the film, Elijah Wood finds himself in a game of cat and mouse as a computer nerd who is a big fan of a young actress (Sasha Grey), but sadly had a contest dinner with his celebrity crush canceled. Suddenly the young man gets hacked by a dude with a weird agenda, claiming he's helping him get what he wants, and soon he's getting much closer access to the actress than he ever thought possible. But things start taking an even creepier edge, as you can see in the quick newly debuted trailer. Watch below!

Here's the new trailer for Nacho Vigalondo's Open Windows from YouTube:

Jill (Sasha Grey) is a famous actress who has refused to have dinner with Nick (Elijah Wood), a fan who won a date with her in an Internet contest organized by the distributor of her latest film. In return, a guy named Chord (Neil Maskell), posing as Jill's campaign manager, tries to help Nick by letting him watch her through his computer. But the superfan soon realizes he's just a pawn in a dangerous game devised by Chord in order to hunt down the star. Nacho Vigalondo (Timecrimes, Extraterrestrial, The ABCs of Death) writes and directs Open Windows which hits VOD on October 2nd and limited theaters on November 7th.

Wood plays a great creep. Something about his eyes and the alabaster complexion.
