Eric Bana Arrests the Possessed in New 'Deliver Us from Evil' Trailer
We've gotten a good look at Scott Derrickson's latest horror thriller Deliver Us from Evil with the spooky teaser trailer and a longer international trailer showing off ore of the story. Now a new online trailer gives us the best look yet as Eric Bana deals with an influx of perpetrators who all appear to be crazy. But soon he learns there may be something more sinister at play when he joins forces with a priest (Edgar Ramirez) who seems to know what's going on. This looks pretty bad ass, and has an original spin on the idea of people being possessed by demons as a grounded detective encounters a variety of spirits. Watch it!
Here's the new trailer for Scott Derrickson's Deliver Us from Evil from Machinima:
NY police officer Ralph Sarchie (Eric Bana), struggling with his own personal issues, begins investigating a series of disturbing and inexplicable crimes. He joins forces with an unconventional priest (Edgar Ramirez), schooled in the rituals of exorcism, to combat the frightening and demonic possessions terrorizing their city. Based on the book by the same name, written by Ralph Sarchie & Lisa Collier Cool, which details bone-chilling real-life cases. Deliver Us from Evil is co-written and directed by Scott Derrickson, of The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Day the Earth Stood Still, and Sinister previously. The film is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Screen Gems. Deliver Us from Evil hits theaters July 2nd this summer. Creepy?
Am pretty sure this is a role meant for Tom Hardy.

Looks like a lot of jump scares in this. I really like the idea behind it. Might check it out.

Cautiously optimistic but I like the overall scale, that being the evil infects a city versus just haunts a small family. I also am a fan of Eric Bana, he doesn't piss me off but I don't love him so it's the right mix but Olivia Munn, hopefully this redeems her in my eyes.

It does look alright this, wasn't sure at first seems like a lot of post 2000 horror films where they weren't too dark.
