"There's no margin for error. No half-measures. This is all or nothing." An international trailer for the crime thriller Son of a Gun arrived a couple months ago, and now a US trailer has arrived, showcasing the solid pairing of Ewan McGregor and rising star Brenton Thwaites (The Signal, The Giver, Maleficent) which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival this past summer. The two stars team up as a veteran thief and a freshly released young convict, all in an effort to pull of a big gold heist. As you might guess, it turns into a big chase for the money where no one can be trusted and everything, including lives, is on the line. Watch!

Son of a Gun is the feature debut of Aussie writer/director Julius Avery. Locked up for a minor crime, 19 year old JR (Brenton Thwaites) quickly learns the harsh realities of prison life. Protection is paramount. JR soon finds himself under the watchful eye of Australia's most notorious criminal, Brendan Lynch (Ewan McGregor). But protection comes at a price. Lynch and his crew have plans for their young protegee. Upon release, JR must help secure Lynch's freedom, staging a daring prison break. As a reward, he’s invited to join the crew as they plan a gold heist that promises to deliver millions. However, as things start to go wrong, a deadly game of cat and mouse ensues. A24 Films releases the film sometime in 2015.
