Final 'Rio 2' Trailer with Jemaine Clement's Dramatic 'I Will Survive'

The last trailer for Rio 2 explained more of the story, while the previous teasers probably had many tapping their feet to the catchy tunes. Now one final trailer gives the spotlight to the villainous bird Nigel, voiced by Jemaine Clement (who also played guitar on the first film's soundtrack), giving the "Flight of the Conchords" star a rather dramatic rendition of the classic tune "I Will Survive." Complete with new rap verses and some self-aware auto-tuning, this trailer is all about Nigel, mixed with some footage from previous trailers. This isn't exactly my cup of tea, but this certainly looks like good family fun. Watch now!
Here's the final trailer for Blue Sky's Rio 2, straight from the film's YouTube channel:
Rio 2 finds Jewel (Anne Hathaway), Blu (Jesse Eisenberg) and their three kids leaving their domesticated life in that magical city for a journey to the Amazon. There they encounter a menagerie of characters who are born to be wild with voices provided by Andy Garcia, Rita Moreno, Bruno Mars and Kristin Chenoweth. In addition, will.i.am, Tracy Morgan, George Lopez, Leslie Mann, Rodrigo Santoro, Bebel Gilberto, Jake T. Austin and Jamie Foxx are all reprising their roles from the first film. The animated sequel is directed by Carlos Saldanha (Rio) and Fox and Blue Sky send it to theaters on April 11th, 2014 next spring. Good?
RIO was by far one of the bigger surprises I have seen in the world of animated films. I hope this one continues the story in a meaningful way. I wanted CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS 2 to be that, but it was mostly just fluff.

Looks great. I think Dreamworks is passing Pixar as my favorite animation studio.
