Following a bloody first look over a year ago, and playing the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival and Fantastic Fest (where our own Jeremy Kirk mostly enjoyed the film), the first trailer for Eli Roth's latest directorial effort, The Green Inferno, has arrived. There's already a sequel on the way, but that shouldn't really spoil the proceedings as a group of students find themselves captured by the native tribe they were intending on saving. It's just a teaser trailer, so there's not much show, but it's certainly effective. Also, the little disclaimer at the end adds a little ominous flare to the film as well. Is it real? Watch the teaser trailer!
Here's the teaser trailer for Eli Roth's The Green Inferno from Moviefone:
Eli Roth (Hostel) directs The Green Inferno which he wrote with Guillermo Amoedo (Aftershock), and is also producing with Worldview Entertainment and Sobras International. In the film, a group of student activists (Lorenza Izzo, Ariel Levy, Daryl Sabara and Kirby Bliss Blanton) from New York City travel to the Amazon to protect a dying tribe, but crash in the jungle and are taken hostage by the very natives they're trying to save. Open Road Films releases the film in theaters this fall in limited theaters September 5th.

"Filmed on location in the rainforest of Peru. The native tribe featured in this motion picture has never been filmed before." hmm... so how did they convince them to do this movie?
