First Trailer for 'Final Girl' with Abigail Breslin is Stylish & That's All
Normally, Tyler Shields is just a photographer, and you totally get that vibe in the first stylish but messy trailer for Final Girl. The thriller stars Abigail Breslin as a girl who has been raised as an assassin and tasked with killing a group of boys who lure girls into the woods and kill them, just for the hell of it. Sounds like an interesting enough concept, but the film looks like a magazine photoshoot in motion, and not in a good way. While some of the shots would make great stills, as a film, this looks like a music video, and has the acting power of a high school drama club. It's exaggerated, phony and just doesn't hit the mark. Watch!
Here's the first promo trailer for Tyler Shields' Final Girl, uploaded by Live for Films:
Loner Veronica (Abigail Breslin) is new to school, shy and vulnerable, the perfect target for a group of teenage boys (led by Alexander Ludwig of The Hunger Games) who lure girls into the woods to hunt and kill them for sport. It's only after they get her alone that she turns the tables on them, escaping and revealing she's armed and knows how to defend herself. Little do they know, Veronica is an assassin-in-training, and she's chosen killing these boys as her final test. When the dust clears, Veronica will find out if she can be the final girl these boys ever have a chance to hurt. Wes Bentley also stars Final Girl, directed by visual artist Tyler Shields (Outlaw), which still doesn't have a release date this year. Stay tuned for updates. Curious?
Breslin is a terrible looking action actor. Not believable at all.

S'got a Funny Games kind of pretentiousness to it. And I say that having loved Funny Games. Not sure about this one though.
