Along with last night's barrage of TV spots for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Transformers: Age of Extinction, Edge of Tomorrow, Hercules and A Million Ways to Die in the West, there's one more TV spot for what could be the biggest comedy of the summer: 22 Jump Street. The TV spot doesn't feature much footage from the latest red band trailer, but it does include the new ending from the previous green band trailer, not to mention some other funny new bits featuring our duo on spring break. It's clear there's going to be a lot more action than the first film, and that's just fine with us as long as the comedy delivers as well.
Here's the first TV spot for Phil Lord & Chris Miller's 22 Jump Street from Sony Pictures:
22 Jump Street is directed by Phil Lord & Chris Miller (21 Jump Street, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The LEGO Movie) and written by Michael Bacall (21 Jump Street, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) and Oren Uziel (Kitchen Sink). This time friends Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) find themselves undercover at a local college, to stop more drugs from being spread. Ice Cube also returns as the undercover unit's captain, and Sony Pictures will release 22 Jump Street everywhere June 13th this summer. We can't wait to see it, one of our most anticipated. See the other third trailer + first red band trailer. #22JumpStreet
