Plenty of fans love Peter Dinklage on the hit HBO fantasy series "Game of Thrones," and now he'll get his own lead role on the big screen. Hollywood Gang sent out a press release announcing that Dinklage will lead an adaptation of Joe R. Lansdale's novel The Thicket. The story follows a young man named Jack who is forced to go on a journey to rescue his sister after she's kidnapped by a killer called Cut Throat Bill and his whole gang. He can't do this all himself though, so he enlists the help of a bounty hunter named Shorty (Dinklage), the son of an ex-slave and street-smart prostitute, to join him on this dangerous quest. Read on!
All this unfolds in the "deadly no-man's land known as The Big Thicket - a place where blood and chaos reign," so Jack and this grave-digging alcoholic bounty hunter have their hands full. Dinklage is also producing the film through his newly formed production company. No word on who will write or direct the film yet, but Dinklage hypes up the project briefly saying, "Completely original. The characters and the world they inhabit jumped from the pages for me in such a cinematic way." Well, if Dinklage is on board, then I'm definitely interested for the time being.
Can yall please stop starting everything with that stupid title "Game of Thrones Star" whenever this guy has an upcoming role in something?!?! He has had tons of previous work and is a great actor. Game of Thrones did not define him!
