The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

"The Marigold Hotel is full up, so we have to expand." Since The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel was such a success (both as a fictional business and a movie), it's time for The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. The sequel brings back plenty of familiar faces from the first film and adds some new cast members like Richard Gere into the mix. Dev Patel and Maggie Smith are still running the show, and now they have to expand to create a new hotel for all the demand for their rooms. For anyone who enjoyed the first charmer, the new UK trailer shows more of the same, the kind of film to watch with your grandparents.

Here's the new UK trailer for Ol Parker's The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (via Daily Mail):

You can still watch the first US trailer for The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel right here.

Sonny (Dev Patel) has his eye on a promising new property now that The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel for the Elderly and Beautiful, has only a single remaining vacancy – posing a predicament for fresh arrivals Guy (Richard Gere) and Lavinia (Tamsin Greig). Evelyn and Douglas (Judi Dench and Bill Nighy) have now joined the workforce while Norman and Carol (Ronald Pickup and Diana Hardcastle) are negotiating the tricky waters of an exclusive relationship, as Madge (Celia Imrie) juggles two eligible, wealthy suitors. Perhaps the only one who may know the answers is newly installed co-manager of the hotel, Muriel (Maggie Smith), the keeper of everyone's secrets. Fox Searchlight releases The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, directed by John Madden and written by Ol Parker (both of the first film), on March 6th, 2015. Good?

There were a lot of jokes in this trailer. Not much of them funny though...

Gere doesn't say a single line. He's just eye candy here.
