Glengarry GlenRoss

In case you didn't know, The Wolf of Wall Street is now available on Blu-Ray and DVD, so if three hours in a movie theater was just too much to enjoy this Martin Scorsese directed masterpiece (my favorite film of 2013), now you can enjoy in the comfort of your home. Previously, we highlighted a great trailer mash-up that turned It's a Wonderful Life into The Wolf of Bedford Falls. Now another fantastic business-based drama gets the same treatment with footage of David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross being edited together in the same style as the initial teaser trailer for The Wolf of Wall Street. It's awesome. Watch now!

Richard Trammell's Wolf of Wall Street / Glengarry Glen Ross trailer mash-up (via The Playlist):

Aside from the fantastic job editing this trailer, one of the more amusing parts to me is the casual use of the f-bomb throughout, but the version of Kanye West's song "Black Skinhead" is the edited version that bleeps out "bitch." Anyway, if you haven't seen Glengarry Glen Ross, that might be even more important than seeing The Wolf of Wall Street, if only because it contains one of the greatest monologues ever seen on film from a younger Alec Baldwin. It's teased in the above trailer mash-up, but the full monologue is superb.

You know some clowns in Hollywood are right now thinking of a remake.

That's something I actually wouldn't mind. Having seen a few stage versions with Alan Alda, Liev Schreiber, Bobby Cannavale, and Al Pacino in the Jack Lemmon role from the film... it's the kind of piece that can be reinterpreted by a variety of actors and directors whether on stage or screen. Considering Mamet has participated in remakes of other works I'm sure he'd be game to play around with his own.

No reason for it, the first on is nigh on perfect.
