Harrison Ford Joins Blake Lively in Romantic Drama 'Age of Adaline'

Last fall, we learned that the supernatural romance The Age of Adaline was getting a new group together to bring the love story of a 29-year-old woman who is rendered ageless after an accident to life. The Vicious Kind and Celeste and Jesse Forever director Lee Toland Krieger was going to direct the film for Sidney Kimmel Entertainment and Lakeshore Entertainment with Blake Lively ("Gossip Girl") starring as the woman who leads a solitary life, but decides to head out on and epic but isolated journey where she meets a man who might be worth losing her immortality. Now Harrison Ford has been added to the film's cast.
Ford joins veteran actress Ellen Burstyn (we presume playing an older version of Lively after her romance plays out), but the Ender's Game and Anchorman 2 star's role isn't explained in the Lionsgate press release. All we know is that his character is named William. Could he also be an older version of the lover Lively will meet on her journey? Or is he just someone that she encounters along the way? Ford's foray into romance has yielded mixed results, but since he's likely going to be dealing with Star Wars again very soon (though that never really stops), this is a nice, small film before things get crazy. Anyone interested?
