Guardians of the Galaxy

Plenty of people are still buzzing about this week's release of the first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy, the next Phase Two film from Marvel. And while the first trailer wasn't certainly a spectacular tease of the ragtag team of cosmic heroes, some fans were disappointed that we didn't get to hear Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon in the trailer. We weren't that surprised since the trailer was pretty much the same as what they showed us from Comic-Con last year, but now a new brief featurette on the feisty, pint-sized, talking raccoon has popped up, and we get a small snippet of Cooper voicing Rocket. Watch!

Here's the new featurette on Rocket Raccoon in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy from Marvel:

And here's another short featurette with Vin Diesel on Groot, but we don't hear him speak:

Now Zoe Saldana gets her own featurette as the deadly Gamora:

Then there's Dave Bautista as rather strong and intimidating Drax the Destroyer:

And finally, Chris Pratt as our human hero in this group of alien misfits, Peter Quill:

Guardians of the Galaxy is directed by James Gunn (Slither, Super). Brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits — Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Peter discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand. The Marvel Studios film arrives in theaters August 1st, 2014.

Good cgi. Reminds me of Kreacher on Deathly Hallows.

And this is from footage 6 months away! I think that this character was one of fans biggest fears and I daresay that those fears can be laid to rest.

Always a good feeling when fear is put to rest.

There is one for Groot and Drax also. Not as revealing though. I assume there will be one for every character. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSnaS5BUUE0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aC-hhxUp1cA

So Groot is an Ent right? Basicly? Also I think Vins voice will be perfect for the tree.

Had zero interest in this before the trailer. I was like; a raccoon with a rocket, get outta here! But now, now I feel so embarrassed...

Bradley Cooper is awesome but i feel like the Rocket character would be more suited for a R Lee Ermey voice.

I kind of wanted them to go full Scottish accent (for Rocket) like the cartoons, but it's still good.
