This weekend Marvel's bold attempt to make a lesser known comic book into a box office giant arrives in the form of Guardians of the Galaxy. Thankfully, the cosmic adventure will have the Marvel bump that has come from their superhero franchises leading to the big assemble of The Avengers, and that train just keeps chugging along. And with a look back at all that Marvel has done for their fans so far, the folks at MTV have pulled out all the stops, and decided to point out every single easter egg reference for comic book fans that has happened in the Marvel cinematic universe up to this point. It's pretty damn extensive. Watch it!
Here's a video of all the Easter Eggs in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, originally from MTV:
You might notice that Captain America: The Winter Soldier isn't in this video, and that's because it's not available on home video yet. The same can be said for Guardians of the Galaxy, but there's plenty of easter eggs to notice in that film too, especially in the scene with The Collector. If you look in the background you'll see a Dark Elf, one of the Chitauri, and even Howard the Duck (no, that's not a joke). There's likely plenty more to be caught by keen eyes, so pay close attention when you see Guardians of the Galaxy in theaters this weekend. We can't wait to see what other goodies Marvel has hidden for us to find.

Thank you for the Guardians of the Galaxy spoilers and not putting a spoiler alert.

There's no spoilers at all. Those are all things you see only in the background of a single scene in the first half of the movie. They're not even important. It sounds like you're referencing a rumored credits scene (which I haven't seen as it wasn't attached to advanced screenings of the film) which you already spoiled for yourself.

I'll just quote your words: "The same can be said for Guardians of the Galaxy, but there's plenty of easter eggs to notice in that film too, especially in the scene with The Collector. If you look in the background you'll see a Dark Elf, one of the Chitauri, and even Howard the Duck (no, that's not a joke)." I kinda really clicked on this video just to get a small retrospective history on Marvel but I totally did not expect reading that. I would have really wanted to go into GOTG not knowing that information, and it's from the movie as you stated so it is spoilers therefore. Sometimes you have to respect the fact people just want to go into a film without not knowing some surprises whether it is small or minor. I won't entirely say it would ruin my viewing experience of GOTG, but am just expecting it meaning it's not a hidden surprise anymore.

Okay, well considering that Kevin Feige mentioned these items as being simply in the background of this single scene, and the fact that none of those things are of any importance to the story in the film, then they're not really spoilers, because they don't spoil anything. Plus, for a couple of them, you really have to be looking around hard to notice them. So again, not spoilers, because most people won't even notice them until their third or fourth viewing.

You're just looking for things to complain about, aren't you? Do you really need attention that badly? Dude, this is genuinely pathetic. I'm embarrassed for you. Grow up.

Wasnt Stan Lees first Cameo in Spiderman 2002? Or is that being counted as it is not Marvel studios?

In Captain America 2 in his apartment on a shelf is a book by H.W. Bush, former president and former head of the CIA (may be deliberate since the movie is a spy thriller).

Oracle in this case isn't the Oracle they're thinking of - it's a major computer company that sponsored Iron Man 2.
