'Hotel Transylvania 2' Delivers a Cute, Animated Holiday Greeting
Just before Thanksgiving, we learned that Mel Brooks was joining the voice cast of Hotel Transylvania 2, the animated comedy from Sony Pictures Animation and director Genndy Tartakovsky. The iconic comedian and spoof master is voicing Vlad, the father of Dracula (Adam Sandler) in the sequel coming next fall. And along with the first look photos that accompanied the news last month, a holiday message has just surfaced featuring Dracula, his daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez), and human boyfriend Jonathan (Andy Samberg). Though it sounds like Sony couldn't afford to pay the voice actors to do this. Watch!
Here's the holiday card from Hotel Transylvania 2 from Sony Pictures Animation:
Hotel Transylvania 2 is directed by Genndy Tartakovsky (Hotel Transylvania, Popeye) and written by Adam Sandler and Robert Smigel ("Saturday Night Live"). In the sequel, a family get-together in the follow-up feature brings Dracula's father Vlad (Mel Brooks) to town — along with some secrets and drama — to visit the estranged son he hasn’t seen in years. He turns everybody’s life upside down, from Drac, Mavis (Selena Gomez) and Jonathan (Andy Samberg) to hotel regulars such as Frank (Kevin James), Wayne Werewolf (Steve Buscemi) and Murray the Mummy (Keegan-Michael Key). The film arrives September 25th, 2015.
The last one actually surprised me a lot more than I thought it would. I will check it out. Genndy is always good for a good time.
