If you loved X-Men: Days of Future Past over the summer, today is a good day, because the time traveling X-Men franchise mash-up hits Blu-Ray & DVD today. One of the best parts of the film was when Quicksilver, played by Evan Peters, got a chance to show off the potential of his super speedy powers. As Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) are trying to break Magneto (Michael Fassbender) out of a seemingly inescapable prison, Quicksilver goes into his speedy Zen-style state while listening to "Time in a Bottle" by Jim Croce, and the result is awesome. But how did they make it? Watch!
Here's a featurette on making the Quicksilver scene from X-Men: Days of Future Past (via Wired):
Here's another short making-of featurette on that awesome Quicksilver scene as well:
Be sure to check out this awesome VFX reel from X-Men Days of Future Past too.
X-Men: Days of Future Past is directed by Bryan Singer and written by Matthew Vaughn and Simon Kinberg. The sequel features cast members from the original X-Men franchise like Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore and Daniel Cudmore along with X-Men: First Class cast members like James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, and Michael Fassbender. The present day X-Men are in danger from a mistake in the past, and Wolverine is sent back in time to fix it in order to avoid a dark, terrifying future timeline. 20th Century Fox released Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past this past summer and it arrives on Blu-Ray and DVD on October 14th. Cool?

Amazing! This was easily one of, if not my absolute favorite scene in the film. Nice to see how it was done with a smart mix of practical and CGI effects.
