The 2014 Sundance Film Festival is in full swing, and we're already up here trying to catch as many great indies as possible. As the festival goes on, we're be delivering reviews, and some of the films will even start the hype machine by revealing posters (like Zach Braff's Wish I Was Here yesterday) and trailers. Today we have the latter with the first teaser for Listen Up Philip from director Alex Ross Perry (The Color Wheel), Jason Schwartzman leads the film as a writer awaiting the publication of his second novel, which seems to be a guaranteed success. But his relationships suffer as he only focuses on himself. Watch!
Here's the teaser trailer for Alex Ross Perry's Listen Up Philip posted by the director on YouTube:
Listen Up Philip is written and directed by Alex Ross Perry (The Color Wheel) Anger rages in Philip (Jason Schwartzman) as he awaits the publication of his sure-to-succeed second novel. He feels pushed out of his adopted home city by the constant crowds and noise, a deteriorating relationship with his photographer girlfriend Ashley (Elizabeth Moss), and his own indifference to promoting the novel. When Philip’s idol, Ike Zimmerman (Jonathan Pryce), offers his isolated summer home as a refuge, he finally gets the peace and quiet to focus on his favorite subject—himself. The film premieres at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival.
