For anyone who has ever been in need of a Best Man at their wedding, but don't quite have a a vast collection of friends to choose from, I'm not sure why you'd go out of your way to hire someone like Kevin Hart. But alas, that's the plot of The Wedding Ringer, a new comedy that sees Josh Gad as an awkward guy who is in desperate need of a partner in crime to help his wedding go off without a hitch. So he hires the services of Jimmy (Hart) to pretend to be his friend for the event. But things get complicated when he also lies about a whole slew of groomsmen. Of course, wackiness ensues, but we're not very entertained. Watch?

The Wedding Ringer is directed by Jeremy Garelick (co-writer of The Break-Up), who co-wrote the script with Jay Lavender. Jimmy (Kevin Hart) provides best man services for socially challenged guys, who have no one close enough to stand by them at their wedding. Doug (Josh Gad), a groom-to-be, has found himself in just such a situation and finds himself in need of not only a best man but nine groomsmen as well. When all else fails, Doug seeks out Jimmy’s services to carry out a charade to make the lie real, but it threatens to destroy everything if it fails. Kaley Cuoco, Olivia Thirlby, Mimi Rogers, Whitney Cummings, Cloris Leachman and Jorge Garcia star in the film which Sony Pictures releases on January 26th, 2015. Well?
