Josh Hutcherson Meets Pablo Escobar in Latest 'Paradise Lost' Trailer

September 3, 2014

Paradise Lost

After premiering at the Telluride Film Festival over the weekend, Andrea Di Stefano's latest film Paradise Lost will play at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival, and a new trailer has arrived to showcase the thriller. In the film, Josh Hutcherson plays a young surfer who falls in love with a gorgeous Colombian girl (Claudia Traisac), but has his relationship thrown into upheaval when he meets her uncle, the infamous drug lord Pablo Escobar (Benicio del Toro). This looks stylish and promising, especially with THR calling the film, "an impressive debut, an ambitious project pulled off with confidence." Watch!

Here's the latest trailer for Andrea di Stefano's Paradise Lost from YouTube:

Paradise Lost marks the feature directorial and writing debut of actor Andrea di Stefano (Nine, Eat Pray Love). Young surfer Nick (Josh Hutcherson) thinks all his dreams have come true when he goes to visit his brother in Columbia. Against an idyllic backdrop of blue lagoons and white beaches he falls madly in love with a beautiful Colombian girl named Maria (Claudia Traisac). It all seems perfect until he meets her uncle, one Pablo Escobar (Benicio del Toro). The film premiered at the Telluride film Festival and plays at TIFF this month, but no official US release date has been announced just yet. Stay tuned for more updates.

That was a terribly put together trailer especially that "I will you" towards the end. Hutcherson doesn't seem right for this role.

He says "I will kill you" play it again. Does anyone know if this is a true story?

doasis23 on Sep 3, 2014

Oops forgot to write "kill"

Don't blame an actor for a poorly cut trailer

When did I blame him for the poorly cut trailer? I said the trailer was terribly put together and then i said he doesn't fit the roll, because he doesn't

Agreed. I didn't think it was too great.

For the 500th time: IT'S COLOMBIA NOT COLUMBIA. At least check google maps if you want to write about someplace.

Run White Boy! RUN!

Ugh Josh Hutcherson in this type of role? Lol stop putting this guy in movies. He's got zero range.
