Kat Dennings Learns 'To Write Love on Her Arms' in Drama Trailer
After breakthrough and impressive roles in movies like The 40-Year Old Virgin and Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist, it's a shame that Kat Dennings isn't doing more on the big screen. Of course, she's quite busy with the CBS comedy series "2 Broke Girls," but she's way better than that sitcom drivel. But in between seasons of that show, it seems she found time to shoot the low profile drama To Write Love on Her Arms. It looks like there's some interesting fantasy elements here to help visualize depression and addiction, but it doesn't look all that provocative. Still, maybe it'll be worth watching next spring. Watch!
Here's the first trailer for Nathan Frankowski's To Write Love on Her Arms from Sony Pictures:
To Write Love on Her Arms is directed by Nathan Frankowski (No Saints for Sinners) and written by first-time feature writer Kate King Lynch. The story follows 19-year-old Renee (Kat Dennings) who has always loved fairy tales: the idea of a princess, a hero and a happily ever after. But Reneeʼs life is that of a darker tale: sheʼs a young woman battling addiction, depression and self-injury. In a creative blend of artistic fantasy balanced with harsh reality, the movie follows Renee on her courageous journey towards recovery. Chad Michael Murray, Rupert Friend and Corbin Bleu star in the film arriving in March of 2015.
Dennings and the footage look pretty good, but the trailer seemed a little empty

I won't be seeing this one. Looks pretty plain-Jane to me. I sure it will appeal to youngsters of all ages.

This movie was made in 2011, sat on a shelf for 3 years and they're dumping it in March because why not. Also it got leaked in the Sony scandal and is getting beat up pretty badly by anyone who watches it. It's going to be a huge bomb.
