We were already pretty excited about Monty Python troupe members John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, and Michael Palin reuniting for the Terry Jones helmed comedy Absolutely Anything. The deal was made sweeter when Simon Pegg was announced to play a disillusioned school teacher who suddenly finds he has magical powers, bestowed upon him by aliens (all voiced by the Monty Python crew). And while Eric Idle is sitting this film out, another British comedian and a lovely English actress getting involved might make up for it as Deadline says Kate Beckinsale and Eddie Izzard have joined the cast of the comedy. Read on!
In the film, Pegg struggles with his powers, which allow him to communicate with his dog Dennis (voiced by Robin Wiliams) and help him figure things out. Of course, his misadventures lead him to a lovely lady (Beckinsale), but he may end up having to choose between her and man's best friend. We're not sure what role Izzard has, but he wouldn't be out of place voicing one of the computer animated aliens in the live-action world. Anyway, this isn't a pure Python movie since Jones co-write it with Gavin Scott, but this still sounds like a lot of fun for fans of all these comedians. Interested at all?

I would not have a problem if they joined the cast. Not one bit.
