Keanu Reeves in 'John Wick' Gets Supersized with IMAX Release in US
There's already a lot of hype for the forthcoming action thriller John Wick starring Keanu Reeves, but everyone would be smart to remember that all the rave reviews came out of Fantastic Fest, where genre films are king. Having said that, the action-packed, gun-toting trailer absolutely makes it look like a blast. And now, if you're one of those movie goers who needs to see the film on the biggest screen possible, THR reports John Wick will be digitally remastered for an IMAX release on the same day the film hits regular screens on October 24th. The Summit Entertainment film wasn't filmed on IMAX, so do whatever want.

Yeah, having a film that is not shot in IMAX but digital remastered to be in IMAX is pointless and they look just about the same. It's a waste of money and this is why Hollywood is so evil today with 3D films that doesn't need 3D and IMAX conversions and what not they have more ways of exploiting the audience. When you have a film that is filmed in IMAX then it's a true IMAX film and deserves to be shown in IMAX. I can't believe they would make people pay the same price to see a true IMAX film and an IMAX conversion where you don't even get the full experience since the film was not filmed in that format. It's unbelievable.

I would have bought this and Interstellar if they were filmed in 3D ... oh well. Now I'll just Netflix them.
