Lindsay Lohan to Produce, Star in 'Inconceivable' Psychological Thriller
After starring in the largely panned indie The Canyons, recovering actress Lindsay Lohan came all the way to Sundance to announce that she would star in and produce a new psychological thriller called Inconceivable for Emmett/Furla Films. The company made the announcement at the independent film festival because it's a pretty low budget film costing around $5 million, and will only screen in New York and Los Angeles before hitting VOD and DVD. Plot details are unknown at this time, but it's a sad guarantee that the project will have nothing to do with Wallace Shawn's infamous, quoted line from The Princess Bride.
The Wrap reports Lionsgate will have their Grindstone arm distribute the film, but as of right now, there's no director attached. As producer, Lohan will be involved with choosing the director, and we hope she can find somebody who will raise her profile a bit. Lohan was a promising young starlet before she got caught up in drugs, alcohol and just trouble in general. She seems to be on the right path now, but it's going to take a pretty remarkable project to bring her back into the spotlight in a positive way. The Canyons was just a bad move, and we would love to see Inconceivable push Lohan in the right direction. Thoughts?
