Mark Hamill Teases 'Star Wars: Episode VII' Before Shoot Resumes
by Ethan Anderton
August 13, 2014
The two week hiatus that Lucasfilm announced awhile back is almost done, so it's almost time for Star Wars: Episode VII to resume production with Harrison Ford back up and hobbling around like a pirate. Following the potential tease of Luke Skywalker's robotic hand last week, seen holding J.J. Abrams' handwritten note thanking fans for their support of the Star Wars: Force for Change charity drive, this time it's the Jedi himself teasing production in London. Mark Hamill took some time to pose for a photo that doesn't really offer any hints as to what's in store for Skywalker in the sequel, but it gets us excited. Look!
Here's Mark Hamill in a Twitter photo from Bryan Fuller, outside of Pinewood Studios in London:

His facial hair is giving off quite the Obi-Wan Kenobi vibe, and surely someone will be able to Photoshop this image to throw a Jedi robe and lightsaber into the image for some kind of fanmade teaser poster. We still don't know the extent to which Luke Skywalker will be involved in the story, but some rumors about the plot seem to indicate that it won't be anywhere near as prominent a role as Harrison Ford (after all they had to take a break to allow his broken leg to heal). Anyway, there's probably plenty more Star Wars rumors and whatnot coming down the road, especially when production resumes. Stay tuned for more.

I like how there's a Guardians Of The Galaxy banner behind him at the upper picture 😀

Not so sure about that. I mean yes, GOTG was like a love letter to STAR WARS, but EPISODE 7 is already pretty much guaranteed to make a billion dollars just by dropping. GOTG will be lucky to make 1/3 of what EPISODE 7 will bring in. But in terms of actual quality of films, yes, it may be harder to match GOTG.

Yeah. I'm not really talking about box office. Star Wars is a guaranteed hit no matter how shitty the movie may be (which it won't be....hopefully) but Guardians was fresh and unique, and it really raised the bar on the genre.

Hamill looks like a vagrant with that beard and long hair. I hope is playing a washed out ass hole who has secreted himself away from the world.

The beard suits him. I hope he keeps it for the film.

I believe he will be a bearded Jedi. Apparently, (see Qui-Gon and Obi Wan) that's a "mature" Jedi thing.

I love how this article basically says nothing, but I'm still excited as hell!!....and I want more of these vague, un-informational posts!!

More importantly... will QuiGon, Obi Wan, Yoda and Anakin be in the movie as force Ghosts?

Rumor has it Luke will fall to the dark side as his father did in Episode VII. Let's pray I'm wrong.
