Marvel Gave Robert Downey Jr. the 'A' from Stark Tower in 'Avengers'

Many lead stars of the big screen have taken mementos from the sets of various films they've worked on. It's a nice token to remember that specific time in your life. Sometimes they steal them, other times they pay for them, but sometimes the production company just decides to give them to the stars. However, we're betting that no one has a movie memento as cool as what Robert Downey Jr. received from the set of The Avengers, courtesy of Marvel. You might remember a certain "A" from the sign on the side of Stark Tower, mostly because it was the only letter leftover after the action in Manhattan. Well, Downey now owns that.
Downey explained how he came into possession of the "A" from The Avengers to BBC Radio One (via THR):
"On the last Avengers, there’s this scene where there’s this ‘A’ which is probably 30 feet tall, and I’m looking at it, and we’re shooting in England, and I go, ‘I need that in my office in Venice.’ About two weeks ago, a wheeler showed up, I’m like, ‘What the heck is this doing here?’ ” he said. “And they go, ‘This is the ‘A’ you asked for.’ And I go, ‘They brought it?’ So now we have a massive Avengers ‘A’ that will be prominently placed."
Frankly, I'm surprised that they even made a 30-foot tall "A" since I'm sure most of us assumed that Stark Tower exteriors were created entirely with visual effects. But that little items just seems like the perfect thing for Downey to have at his office, especially since he is undoubtedly Tony Stark. After all, Downey already has a life-size, remote-controlled Iron Man figure, so this is probably the next coolest thing that's appropriate for Downey to hold onto. If Marvel has any other cool props like this lying around, I'm sure plenty of people like me would be happy to take them off your hands.
