The reteaming of "Saturday Night Live" alums and Baby Mama co-stars Tina Fey and Amy Poehler in the Universal Pictures comedy The Nest was already something to be excited about, but now the project is getting even better. Fey and Poehler are playing two thirtysomething sisters come home to find their parents’ house has been put up for sale, so they decide to spend one more wild weekend together there, bonding, feuding and finally growing up. Now THR reports they'll be joined by another "SNL" veteran as Maya Rudolph has taken the role of a childhood friend of the two sisters. This sounds awesome. Read on!
Making this whole affair even more of a "Saturday Night Live" endeavor is that the script comes from Paula Pell, a writer from the late night sketch show. But this isn't entirely a ladies party, as "The Mindy Project" star and Neighbors scene stealer Ike Barinholtz also has a role in the film as the male lead. Production on The Nest begins in New York later this month with Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore at the helm. There's more supporting roles left to be cast, and there's an opportunity for some cameos apparently, so maybe more "SNL" players will pop up. Universal will release the film on December 18th, 2015.

These are funny women. That McCarthy lady could learn a thing or 2 from them.

Love Tina and Amy, but can barely watch Maya...that's one homely woman. Yeah, yeah, I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But I behold her as homely.
