Don Peyote Trailer

"One of these days I'm going to come back, and I'm going to save you… if you're lucky." The first trailer has arrived for an indie comedy called Don Peyote, written & directed by Michael Canzoniero & Dan Fogler, which is some kind of crazy, wacky, drug-trip dramedy starring Fogler as Warren Allman, an "unemployed stoner who finally finds a purpose in life" after a run in with a homeless man that gives him some kind of power, it looks like. The supporting cast is promising: Anne Hathaway, Jay Baruchel, Josh Duhamel, Topher Grace and Wallace Shawn. Doesn't look too bad, but I'm still unsure about Fogler in a lead role.

Here's the first promo trailer for Michael Canzoniero & Dan Fogler's Don Peyote, found via YouTube:

Don Peyote tells the story Warren Allman (Fogler), an unemployed stoner who finally finds a purpose in life after an unpleasant encounter with a homeless man preaching the end is near. Fueled by vivid apocalyptic dreams, Warren becomes obsessed with 2012 doomsday theories and decides to make a documentary on the subject while his fiance is busy planning their wedding. Don Peyote is co-written & co-directed by Michael Canzoniero & Dan Fogler, both of other indie comedies before this. The film hasn't premiered at any film festivals or appeared otherwise, but will likely be released sometime in the summer. Stay tuned for updates.
