Transformers: Age of Extinction

"After all we have done, humans are hunting us." After seeing the new threat against the Autobots and humanity in the latest theatrical trailer for Transformers: Age of Extinction, a new international trailer show off even more of the battle. This time there's a bit more human action in the mix, including a new comedic beat from Mark Wahlberg before tons of robot action continues to dominate the hype machine for the sequel. This looks like pure mindless summer fun for everyone who has enjoyed all of Michael Bay's big action set pieces and giant robots before, but not necessarily with fresh territory. Watch below!

Here's a new international trailer for Transformers: Age of Extinction from YouTube:

Transformers: Age of Extinction

Michael Bay is again directing Transformers 4, or Transformers: Age of Extinction, from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger, as his last film in the blockbuster series before handing the franchise off to another director. No plot details are known yet, but Bay says, "We start four years later and there’s a reason why we’re meeting a new cast. We keep the 'Transformers' the way they were. It’s just four years later. There’s a reason the Transformers are redesigned. We’re trying to broaden the franchise and give it more places to go." The new cast this time around includes Mark Wahlberg, T.J. Miller, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, Li Bingbing. Transformers: Age of Extinction hits June 27th this summer.

I want to see other Dinobots besides Strafe and Grimlock!

JBrotsis on May 19, 2014

Is it just me, or did they change Swoop to Strafe? I thought Strafe was a Technobot?

I never kept up continuously with the comics/cartoons but yea, he's now called Strafe for the movie. Grimlock (T-Rex), Strafe (Pterodactyl), Slug (Triceratops), Scorn (Spinosaurus), Slash (Velociraptor), Snarl (Stegosaurus), and there may be another dino Slog (Apatosaurus/Brontosaurus).

Well, I'm going to see it, with the expectations of what it most likely will be: Lots of awesome looking Robot SFX, stuff blowing up, and plot holes big enough to drive Optimus through... Aka round 4 of Bayformers. I gave up any hope of 'respectful' treatment of my beloved franchise after seeing TF07. i just hope those of us at BotCon the week before, get to see a snippet like we did the last 2.

It's down.

Don't you think it's strange that adding modern rock to pretty much the same images doesn't make it as dramatic or effective of a trailer?

Was that a trailer for 2, 3 or 4 as they do look the same nowadays.
