'Muppets Most Wanted' Online Spot Mocks Internet Hype on Twitter
The full length trailers for Muppets Most Wanted got us excited for the humor that so delightfully populate our childhood and made the return of Jim Henson's creations so enjoyable in 2011. Now a new online spot has arrived with some silly hype and excitement from Twitter. The funny thing is,if you search for these Twitter users, there are actual accounts, but they've simply been created solely to go along with this promo. For example, @PoppaFreshness is named Nicholas Stollest, clearly a play on writer Nicholas Stoller's name. It's clever, and it's cool to see Disney take time to make these faux Twitter accounts for fun.
Here's the new online spot for James Bobin's Muppets Most Wanted from Walt Disney Pictures:
Muppets Most Wanted is directed by James Bobin (The Muppets) who co-wrote the script with Nicholas Stoller. This time the entire Muppets gang is on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two (Ricky Gervais). The film also features Ty Burrell, Tina Fey, Ray Liotta and many more with Walt Disney Pictures releasing the film everywhere on March 21st, 2014 next year. Excited?
