"This time they crossed a fatal line…" Dimension has debuted the full-length trailer for Robert Rodriguez & Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, their follow-up to the original Sin City adaptation from 2005. We've already seen a few trailers previously for this dark, gritty B&W movie, but this new one goes all out with a great poker scene featuring Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Johnny and Powers Boothe as Roark, as well as some kick ass action with Josh Brolin as Dwight, Mickey Rourke as Marv, and Bruce Willis. Plus, the "dame to kill for" Eva Green, and also Jessica Alba, Jaime King, Rosario Dawson, Jamie Chung, Juno Temple. This lengthy trailer starts to really kick ass at the end, can't wait to see it. Finally.
Here's the third worldwide trailer for Robert Rodriguez & Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For:
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is directed by Robert Rodriguez who co-wrote the script with William Monahan (The Departed) and Frank Miller, creator of the graphic novel series and co-director of the first film. Dwight (Josh Brolin) is hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord (Eva Green), and then watches his life go straight to hell. Chronologically, this story takes place prior to "The Big Fat Kill" (seen in the first Sin City) and explains how Dwight came to have a dramatically different face. Jessica Alba, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Mickey Rourke, Juno Temple, Jaime King, Rosario Dawson and many others star in the film being shot in 3D and Dimension Films will send the sequel to theaters on August 22nd this summer. Looks amazing, still can't believe waited over 5 years for a sequel. Too long man, just hope the movie turns out as good as this trailer is.

is it me or do the effects look off in comparison to the last one. maybe more cgi touchup will have been done between the time they made these trailers and release but certain bits look off to me.

Yeah, I feel the same way. Those explosions were horribly bad, even considering the movie general aesthetics. Other than that, HOLY S***, does this look awesome!

Looks fine in HD, almost like theatre sets or something which is pretty cool.

As much as I loved the first one, I just can't get excited for this. I'm not sure why, but it's not doing anything for me.

Question....how could this have taken place before "The Big Fat Kill" if Nancy is gung-ho crazy over the death of Hartigan when Hartigan died at the end? Shouldn't he have been alive during this?
