Mad Max: Fury Road

"Here they come again." If the Comic-Con teaser footage this past summer wasn't enough to get you excited about Mad Max: Fury Road, this new theatrical trailer should do the trick. Even if you aren't familiar with the early installments of this franchise starring Mel Gibson, it looks like this reboot with Tom Hardy will still be quite the spectacle on the big screen. There's some huge action set pieces in the middle of the desert, incredible production design, and it just looks completely different from any other blockbusters coming in the near future. I'm not even a Mad Max fan, and I'm incredibly excited to see this. Watch below!

Here's the theatrical trailer for George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road from Warner Bros. Pictures:

If you haven't yet, you can watch the Mad Max: Fury Road Comic-Con teaser footage right here.

Mad Max: Fury Road is a reboot of the adventure franchise that began with Mad Max in 1979, starring Mel Gibson. George Miller, the director of the original film and its sequel, is back behind the camera, working from a script he co-wrote with first-time writer Nick Lathouris. Within this world of fire and blood exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order. Thereโ€™s Max (Tom Hardy) a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. Meanwhile, Furiosa (Charlize Theron) is a woman of action who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland. Nicholas Hoult, Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keough and more star in the film Warner Bros. Pictures releases on May 15th, 2015. Interested?

Everything all the trailers have shown looks like it could have taken place all in five minutes. Im afraid they are just selling us the absolute best bits because the rest is mediocre. But I could be wrong and what they have shown us looks next level incredible.

They whole movie is supposed to be a giant chase, they are chasing MAD MAX across the wasteland, its all excerpts from that.

3

yup and with the money George Miller has been given to make this movie I think he is going all out with the level of action....the man is a action sequence genius!

I concur, but visually what they have shown does look great.. so hoping it turns out we are both wrong

Good to see a different approach to the brooding trailers big action movies now employ. (Yes, I know this franchise is different, but still).

Damn thats still 6 months away. Feels like this has been in production forever already. Looks great though. I'm sure Hardy will pay justice to Gibson's MM.

What is this feeling? It feels good! I think it is called "Impressed."

WoW. That gave me the same weird feeling watching that trailer as i got when i watch any of the first two Mad MAX movies..... Nasty n Bleak.

LV 426 on Dec 10, 2014

14

Is nasty and bleak good?

Xerxexx on Dec 10, 2014

15

Yeah in a brutal and savage way that humanity can easily be.l But ,hey big smiles cos its going to be fun and also there will be absolutely fuck all tina turner involvement.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response was there anything that could even be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul!

THIS is how you make a trailer and sell a reboot! Jurassic World and Terminator take note ๐Ÿ™‚

These action / chase sequences are going to be pretty incredible. There's so much to look at in the action shots especially in the 1:40 spot. I'm not all that familiar with the Mad Max movies but I hope this character is actually crazy like Bronson. I wanna see Tom Hardy be funny and crazy again.

Looks balls to the wall. Seems like Miller's been waiting 20 years to make this film.

They keep rehashing the same shit over and over ... they keep selling us the same story with a shiny new cover -- that's it nothing new here move along folks same shit different day... Please stop giving us the seventh installment of the reboot it's depressing been there done that

unfortunately, nobody listens such voicing. And this is gonna last for at least another decade. Lobotomy, man, lobotomy ...

the worse thing about this trailer is the fact that it is good... In a bad sense of the word...

explain your post - just reading it makes no sense at all.

dan on Dec 14, 2014

30

ok, this movie looks like a standard gig, like something done in accordance with standardized design developed recently. And, this time, it looks that nowadays assembly-line of film industry is exceptionally inspired. The only problem is: there is nothing special about it, it's a shallow attempt of producing lot of action-packed eye candy that has has been seen many times before... Of course, new technology has been obtained and used; but it delivers nothing special, only its efficiency. Nothing substantial about this movie can't be seen and there's less and less fun with every new installment that comes with this standard designing. And that's why: it's good in a bad sense of the word...

shiboleth on Dec 15, 2014

Looks massive....fingers crossed for a hard R rating.

I wish I had 2 more hands so I could give this movie 4 thumbs up!

Fatal Error on Dec 10, 2014

33

Hells yeah! I'm not keen on live action 3d but this might become an exception next year. Almost IMAX worthy with some of that imagery. Tom Hardy can make all of the movies....suck it James Franco! ๐Ÿ™‚ I really hope they don't try to shove Mel in there for some tepid cameo that may be lost on all younger viewers....that's just me. Burning tornado, woohoo!

Whichhalfofthewit on Dec 10, 2014

That explosion at the end of the trailer even had Michael Bay getting jealous. I'm pretty up for checking this. Mel Gibson's cameo should be funny too.

Oh my balls. Visually amazing. There was some messy looking CG I hope gets cleared up before release. But over all I cannot be more excited. Just....I Mean visually stunning.

Brian Sleider on Dec 10, 2014

Miller said the only stuff that's really CG is the landscapes

That gas tanker exploding was fake as shit. .40 seconds in.

Brian Sleider on Dec 12, 2014

42

The dust storm and the car floating up into the storm in the 2nd trailer is CGI. Some of the explosions do not look real at all.

Trix256 on Dec 10, 2014

It's hard not to be a Mad Max fan when you see how much the original movies have influenced the post-apocalyptic genre. I am amazed at how stunning this movie looks. I think that with modern day technology we are finally getting a sense of the world George Miller had always envisioned.

I hope there's some kind of plot? The original Road Warrior is one of those movies you can watch over and over again. The stunts here look used...ah...as what RW had / did. Who can top the motorcycle guy going under the tanker wheels in RW? Priceless.

My type of movie! I've heard that this entire movie is suppose to be a real time 90min car chase.

I love the color palette. And is Max just a spectator in this one? I'm sure he's not but this trailer makes it look like he's just watching and reacting to everything. But I seriously can't wait... So is this supposed to be a part one again?
