Begin Again

After a recent trailer from across the pond for Begin Again showcased the big screen debut of Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, this time his voice also gets some of the spotlight with a new song from the chart-topping singer playing throughout a new trailer. But that doesn't stop his character from seeming like an opportunistic douchebag when he dumps Keira Knightley as he gets more famous. But if that didn't happen, we wouldn't have Mark Ruffalo to discover her singing out her sadness at the right place and the right time. With Once director John Carney behind the camera, I'm hoping this is a charming romance.

Here's the new trailer for John Carney's Begin Again from The Weinstein Company:

Begin Again is written and directed by John Carney (Once). Gretta (Keira Knightley) and her long-time boyfriend Dave (Adam Levine) are college sweethearts and songwriting partners who come to New York when he lands a deal with a major label. His new-found fame soon tempts Dave to stray, leaving a reeling, lovelorn Gretta on her own. Her world takes a turn for the better when Dan (Mark Ruffalo), a disgraced record-label exec, stumbles upon her performance in the East Village and is immediately captivated by her raw talent. The Weinstein Company sends the film to limited theaters this summer on July 4th. See it?
