Norwegian Adventure 'Ragnarok' Trailer Has Foreign Summer Action

If the American summer blockbuster explosion of Transformers: Age of Extinction or any of the other big action movies that arrived this season aren't your thing, maybe you'll find something to like in the foreign action adventure Ragnarok. It's got some Steven Spielberg flair in it as it follows an archaeologist obsessed with an old Viking ship where they find clues that lead to "No Man's Land," a region between Norway and Russia where a giant beast lays hiding beneath the sea. You might recognize Pål Sverre Hagen from Kon-Tiki in the film, and this looks like some cool alternate programming this summer. We just hate the cheesy voiceover used to hide the fact that this isn't an English-language film. Watch below!
Here's the US trailer for Mikkel Brænne Sandemose's Ragnarok, originally from Apple:
Ragnarok is a Norwegian film directed by Mikkel Brænne Sandemose and written by John Kåre Raake. Archeologist Sigurd Svendsen (Pål Sverre Hagen) has for years been obsessed with the Oseberg Viking ship. The only inscription found on the ship is the enigmatic ´man knows little` written in runes. Sigurd is sure that the Oseberg ship contains the answer to the mystery of Ragnarok, the end of days in Norse mythology. Sigurd becomes convinced that the runes are in fact a treasure map, launching an adventure that leads to “No man’s Land” between Norway and Russia, where he and his friend Allen find a secret more terrifying than he could possibly imagine. Magnolia Pictures releases the film August 15th.

Sorta of a big croco-dino. Just don't show the creature in the trailer, would make it more interesting.

Agreed. Definitely has the SyFy channel feel to it...No matter what language it's in.

I think the trailer looks terrible but it's hard to tell about the movie itself. The voice over IS pretty bad. They didn't do themselves any favors with that. It's obviously better than a Syfy original.

Shitty trailer, still could be good. Glad to see someone decided to take on the "Lake Placid" remake.

This movie is good to watch it with family, not something that die hard film fans will appreciate. Pal is just wonderful!
