One Final Red Band Trailer for 'Nightcrawler' Gets Wicked & Wild

When it comes to conventional horror thrillers in theaters this Halloween, there's not much to choose from (our own Jeremy K. Kirk says Ouija isn't very good at all), but Jake Gyllenhaal and his latest film Nightcrawler looks like it might offer a nice alternative to the usual slashers and supernatural terror. Gyllenhaal plays an aspiring crime journalist who decides to do whatever it takes to get his stories on the nightly news, even if that means staging an accident scene or filming a grisly murder. But his career path as a "nightcrawler" just might cost him his sanity and his life. This new red band trailer shows off just how twisted and crazy this movie is going to be, and it looks like a great trip to the movie theater on Halloween.
Here's the final red band trailer for Dan Gilroy's Nightcrawler from Open Road Films:
If you haven't seen it, watch the longer theatrical trailer for Nightcrawler right here.
Nightcrawler is written and directed by Dan Gilroy (writer of Two for the Money, Real Steel and The Bourne Legacy) making his feature directing debut. Jake Gyllenhaal stars as Lou Bloom, a driven young man desperate for work who discovers the high-speed world of L.A. crime journalism. Finding a group of freelance camera crews who film crashes, fires, murder and other mayhem, Lou muscles into the cut-throat, dangerous realm of nightcrawling -- where each police siren wail equals a possible windfall and victims are converted into dollars and cents. Open Road Films releases the film on October 31st. See the first teaser.

Yes!! I love the feel of this trailer. Brings out more of the comedy in the film and not just the dramatic elements. Also great use of Kendrick Lamar.

I'm actually a bit confused now. Previous trailers gave me the sense that it's a thriller of sorts with an eerie undertone as he chases and films crime. Now I get the impression it's a comedy thriller? Lol. Either way I'll try and see it.

I have to admit I'm very intrigued by all the glowing praise this film seems to be getting, but nothing in the trailers so far has me interested in the least.

Looks like such a fun and amazing movie. I will probably have to wait awhile before I can see it in theatres...

Huh, now this looks more in the vein of 'Wolf of Street' type of comedy mixed with dramatic weight. I thought the humour would be much more subtle, like in 'Gone Girl', but this is pretty cool, too. I'll make sure to check it out.
