'Let's Do What We Do' - One Final Trailer for 'The Expendables 3'
"It's all under control…!" Amidst the controversy and chaos of an early pirated leak, Lionsgate has debuted one last trailer for Patrick Hughes' The Expendables 3, the action movie extravaganza that has a PG-13 rating to top off all your questions and confusion. In addition to Stallone, pretty much all your favorite action stars are in this even if just for a minute, from Jason Statham to Jet Li to Antonio Banderas to Wesley Snipes to Dolph Lundgren to Harrison Ford and Arnold. But is it worth seeing? That's up to you. I've pretty much had enough across all three trailers so far, now I'm just wondering when we'll get the R-rated cuts of these movies. Or is that asking for too much? Anyway - enjoy this 66-second trailer below.
Here's the third and final trailer for Patrick Hughes' The Expendables 3, in high def from Apple:
The Expendables 3 is directed by Patrick Hughes (Red Hill) and written by Sylvester Stallone and Olympus Has Fallen scribes Creighton Rothenberger & Katrin Benedikt. Barney (Sylvester Stallone), Christmas (Jason Statham) and the rest of the team comes face-to-face with Conrad Stonebanks (Mel Gibson), who years ago co-founded The Expendables with Barney. Stonebanks subsequently became a ruthless arms trader and someone who Barney was forced to kill…or so he thought. Stonebanks, who eluded death once before, now is making it his mission to end The Expendables, but Barney has other plans with a new era of Expendables team members, younger, faster and more tech-savvy. Expendables 3 arrives on August 15th.
I had no idea there was an early leak. Shame. I bet the audience who would steal this film and would see it in theaters shares a lot of overlap.

This movie is going to tank. The fact a nearly perfect copy is out there in full 5.1 surround sound with no flaws or screener tactics like names or color shifting... it's just a shame... The real thing would be to delay the movie, make it rated R and drop it later in the year acknowledging what happened and giving the audience a version that can't see illegally.

Second one was terrible. I won't bother with this...

These movies are total garbage. The way all these has-been action stars show up for 2 seconds, deliver a cheesy line, blow something up, and leave is just plain cringeworthy. There is such a thing as "too many celebrities" in a movie....I use the word "celebrity" very loosely here.

Why? People like Ford, Schwarzenegger, Gibson and Stallone are Hollywood legends. They made movies that are enjoyed by millions of people and made billions of dollars. They were nominated for and won numerous awards including Golden Globes.

Yes. Ford, Schwarzenegger, Gibson and Stallone are Hollywood legends. They made movies that are enjoyed by millions of people and made billions of dollars. This is not one of them....this is garbage.

So first Ford, Schwarzenegger, Gibson and Stallone are 'has-been' action stars and now you agree with me they are 'Hollywood legends'? OK. Expendables-movies are not my thing. But I wouldn't call it garbage. It's very special that they manage to get so many action stars in a movie. The action looks impressive and there is loads of humor in the Expendables franchise. So at least they don't take themselves too seriously. Millions of people enjoy these films and they make hundreds of millions of dollars. IMDB gives part 1 and 2 a solid 6,5 and 6,8. That's not too bad in the action genre. Even the ratings on Rotten Tomatoes aren't that bad. Haven't seen part 3 yet but IMDB says it's a 7,1. Come on, this is probably no Oscar material, but it's certainly no garbage.

It's boring to me but on a weeknight with nothing else, you can certainly do much worse than watch this. It's predictable but the one thing you can do is play the cameo game and see who else manages to appear as the hero of the sequence. Part of it is them mocking their own cliches of the past.

yeah it was leaked a few weeks ago...slight improvement over the previous 2 movies but thats not saying much Snipes has a few good lines, Mel and Stallone have a nice exchange but other than that its totally forgettable. I'm more amazed that they were actually able to get all of these actors together in 1 scene than anything else.
