The Grand Budapest Hotel

"Did you just throw my cat out the window?" After breaking limited release box office records with a debut on just four screens this past weekend, The Grand Budapest Hotel is already a success for director Wes Anderson. But the film is still poised to expand to more screens in the coming weeks, so Fox Searchlight has decided to release one more last minute trailer, but this time with some red band edge. It's pretty tame, with only a few f-bombs and a distant shot of one of Ralph Fiennes geriatric lovers (maybe Tilda Swinton) performing fellatio, but it makes me more anxious to see the flick. Watch the red band trailer!

Here's the red band trailer for Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel from Yahoo:

The Grand Budapest Hotel is written and directed by Wes Anderson (The Royal Tenenbaums, Moonrise Kingdom, Rushmore) and tells of a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars and his friendship with a young employee who becomes his trusted protégé. The story involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting, the battle for an enormous family fortune and the slow and then sudden upheavals that transformed Europe during the first half of the 20th century. Fox Searchlight released The Grand Budapest Hotel in limited theaters on March 7th and expands wide in coming weeks.

Saw it in Germany last friday... They cut it down to rate the local equivalent of PG (6 years and older)... Some idiot must have thought it's a kids movie, consequently the theater was empty on its second day. Talk about completely missing the target audience. Glad to hear it fares better in the US, and although it was badly cut, the masterpiece it is still shines through. Can't wait till I get my hands on the full length original release. GO SEE IT!
