Relativity Media Plans Sequel to Pierce Brosnan's 'November Man'
by Ethan Anderton
August 20, 2014
In what feels like an effort to get audiences more interested in next week's release of the new action thriller The November Man starring Pierce Brosnan, Relativity Media has announced pre-production on a sequel. In the first film, Brosnan plays Peter Devereaux, a lethal and highly trained ex-CIA agent enjoying a quiet life in Switzerland. Lured out of retirement, he must protect valuable witness, Alice Fournier, (Olga Kurylenko), which suddenly marks him a target of his former friend and CIA protégé David Mason (Luke Bracey). Sounds like Brosnan has found a new franchise to follow his time as James Bond from years ago.
But if The November Man doesn't do well at the box office, don't expect the film to move forward. Anyway, Robbie Brenner, President of Production at Relativity says, "The November Man is a gritty series that re-invents the spy genre with its master Pierce Brosnan by combining the best elements of James Bond and Jason Bourne while echoing the cool, sleek action movies of the 70s. We are excited to launch The November Man later this month and to continue to explore Peter Devereaux's dangerous world with Pierce over the years to come." We'll admit the trailer looks fun, but we'll see what general audiences think.

Hoping this is good. One of my favourite Bonds, it was a pity his run went a little off the rails after a good start.
