Romance About Spencer Tracy & Katharine Hepburn in Development

On this day of love, we've got news a new romance in development following two of Hollywood's most iconic stars. Deadline reports Youth in Revolt and Face/Off producer David Permut and Reunion Pictures are producing a film called Tracy and Hepburn, a film from "CSI" and "Revolution" writer and producer David Rambo which follows the blossoming romance of big screen legends and lovers Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn. The two stars met at MGM while making Woman of the Year, and that was just the beginning of their complicated relationship for over 27 years, both on and off the screen. Read on!

Tracy remained married to his wife Louise Tracy, but his relationship with Hepburn wasn't a big secret. However, the actress never acknolwedged her relationship with Tracy publicly until the 1980s. Tracy and Hepburn starred in nine films together, including Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, the film Tracy finished shooting just days before his death. But Hepburn and Tracy didn't have a perfect affair, since the latter had many problems with alcoholism and Catholic guilt.

But for now, a director needs to be found along with stars to play the two iconic lovers. It's going to be hard to top Cate Blanchett's portrayal from The Aviator, but there's plenty of talent out there. But John Dayton, who worked with Hepburn on The Man Upstairs, This Can’t Be Love, Love Affair and One Christmas is producing the film, so he should have a good eye for finding the right actress to bring Hepburn to life again.
