Besides being one of the most popular video game franchises of all-time, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare caught our attention earlier this year because Kevin Spacey stars in the film and The Social Network producer Dana Brunetti is also behind the Activision game, making it quite the big screen video game spectacle. The game will hit shelves in just a few days, and a new ad has just arrived. Normally we don't post things like this, but it's a live-action commercial directed by Peter Berg and featuring his Lone Survivor star Taylor Kitsch. It's a pretty kick-ass ad, and it makes me want to see a movie with this tech.
Here's the new commercial for Call of Duty: Advance Warfare from the game's YouTube page:
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare takes place in a plausible future in which technological progress and today’s military practices have converged with powerful consequences. In this carefully researched and crafted vision of the future, Private Military Corporations (PMCs) have become the dominant armed forces for countless nations outsourcing their military needs, redrawing borders and rewriting the rules of war. And Jonathan Irons, the founder and president of the world’s largest PMC - Atlas Corporation - is at the center of it all. Kevin Spacey stars in the video game on various platforms which arrives November 3rd.

This is the age of these type of movies. Elysium, Edge of Tomorrow, they should make this too. Mech powered suits baby!

Compacting every single gameplay feature in one live action take, yeah, that'll get people excited.

Comparing to their older live action COD ads, this one was just a mess. Too much going on in my opinion, still cool to see live action ads for video games though.

I've watched a lot of game ads and cinematic intros lately, they seem a lot better than actual movies being produced by studios. This one is quite cartoony, but fun.

just because you have an exoskeleton on doesn't mean your first can allow you to punch through a door... like... you'd break every bone in your hand from the impact. You need something to absorb the blow... It's little shit like this that keeps me from playing a lot of games.

So this means we're one step closer to a proper Starship Troopers movie? By the way, I am a 20 second bomb.
