Last night, the adolescent drivel known as the Teen Choice Awards pandered the most coveted audience in entertainment, and that meant the studios were pushing some of the forthcoming films to the young crowd on the flickering box. Disney decided to push their family comedy Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day with a new TV spot showing off some more ridiculous footage from the film. Unlike the book on which the film is based, it's not just Alexander having a bad day, but his whole family. This looks to be full of slapstick comedy, complete with Steve Carell fighting a kangaroo. Here's the TV spot for Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day from Disney:

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is directed by Miguel Arteta (Cedar Rapids) and written by first-time scribe Rob Lieber. The film follows the exploits of 11-year-old Alexander (Ed Oxenbould) as he experiences the most terrible and horrible day of his young life—a day that begins with gum stuck in his hair, followed by one calamity after another. But when Alexander finds little sympathy from his family, he soon learns that he's not alone when his brother, sister, mom and dad all find themselves living through their own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Steve Carell, Jennifer Garner, Megan Mullally, Jennifer Coolidge and more also star in the film which 20th Century Fox releases October 10th.
