We've already seen a teaser trailer and theatrical trailer for Alan Partridge from when the film arrived in the United Kingdom last year under the title Alpha Papa. Now the film is finally hitting the United States, and it might get a better audience after people saw Steve Coogan in the Oscar contending film Philomena. Of course, Alan Partridge is an entirely different kind of film as it's based on a British TV series which focused on a fictional chat show host similar to that of "The Larry Sanders Show" here in the states. Anyway, the first trailer for the release over here has arrived, and it might be a fun intro to the character. Watch it!
Here's the first US trailer for Declan Lowney's Alan Partridge from YouTube:
Alan Partridge is directed by TV helmer Declan Lowney, who has worked with Steve Coogan many times before, and worked on episodes of "Little Britain" and more. Written by Peter Baynham, Armando Iannucci (of In the Loop), Neil and Rob Gibbons, the plot details haven't been revealed other than the story involving Alan Partridge (Steve Coogan, who also helped write the film) being an unwilling participant at a large event in a small town somewhere. Nigel Lindsay also stars in the film which already hit theaters in the United Kingdom on August 7th, and Magnolia Pictures brings the British film to the US on April 4th, this spring.

I’m Alan Partridge is worth seeking out. This series fits in-between the Larry Sanders type show and this film. And it's hilarious.
