Take a Deep Breath: Enthralling Space Exploration Tribute 'Voyage'
"We'll find a way. We always have…" The countdown is at T-minus 44 days until Interstellar arrives in theaters. With the hype growing more and more every single day, fans are starting to show their love for the wonderful world of sci-fi in exciting ways. I was sent this video, made by FS.net reader Robbert Doelwijt, titled Voyage that is an Interstellar-inspired tribute to space exploration. It's a quick video focusing mostly on the recent space exploration movies hitting theaters, though there are nods to 2001 and Apollo 13 in here. It's simply an enthralling reminder of the awe and great mystery of space. Can I visit out there yet?
Here's the video tribute titled "Voyage", made by Robbert Doelwijt in his own time. From munkicloud.net:
Synopsis from Vimeo: "In the anticipation of Interstellar I decided to create a montage as a small tribute to space exploration in cinema." This tribute video was made by Robbert Doelwijt, aka "munkicloud" (on Twitter @MUNKICLOUD), whose description on Vimeo states: "The world is filled with unnecessary clutter that can be removed using great design and inspiring storytelling. Function and art are married in favor of enriching people’s lives." For the list of films and clips used, visit here. I loved every last second of this as I find space exploration to be some of the most exhilarating footage in modern cinema, and this was exciting to watch. Thanks for reminding me of the beauty of space. Interstellar arrives in theaters early November.
Personally, the sea is a more intriguing mystery.

Ironic that people long for govts to increase spending on space exploration, when its govt that has retarded it, wasting untold amounts of money on boondoggle self aggrandizements (Shuttle, ISS, etc.).
