I don't want to sound like a negative-nancy. For one, I got a little tired of some of their opinions. I don't want to use the term "pretentious", but they are peculiar and...uneven. They'll praise some really pretty poor films and defend them with some kind of hollow points. But then they'll call thoroughly entertaining/good movies "rancid horse crap" and etc etc. Also, this guest in particular...good grief, they struck me as negative and kind of 'hipster/pretentious' in their tastes and views...which I found grinding. I also discovered AMC Movie Talk a few months ago...and damn that is just much more on my frequency. It isn't the same thing as this, these aren't the same animals...but if I'm going to spend time listening/watching any online movie-related show, I'll go with Movie Talk any day of the week.

They have been talking about retooling the podcast soon, so there is some hope. I think both hosts are realizing the show needs some work. I, myself, still find a lot of enjoyment in every episode, but agree that occasionally there are guests that turn the show into something I don't really like.

I don't typically have an issue with Tim & Jeremy's opinions, whether I agree with them or not, i don't find them to be all that intentionally pretentious. That guest today though? Never need to hear her again. I don't care if she thought Under the Skin was great (I didn't think so but whatever), but do not call me too stupid to know the difference if I care to be excited for Kevin Smith's 'Tusk'. That is the epitome of pretentious snob. And she went on that rant right after Tim said he's was really looking forward to it and he never called her out on it, just let her go off on her I hate stoner Smith tangent. If you don't like Smith's stuff, fine. No need to be a high and mighty twat about it. Came off like some Internet troll on a message board rather than someone who writes for a respected website.

And the degree to which she fixated on Wonder Woman, Ms Marvel, Black Widow, Nebula, and Gamora got rather annoying. We get it!

This was the first episode I listened to in a while, and the sort of enthusiasm that I used to feel wasn't there as much as it used to be. Like I said, I'm not trying to hate, I don't like that I don't enjoy the show any more...but I can't help it.
