Two 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' TV Spots Crack Skulls & Jokes

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Following yesterday's cool announcement that IDW Publishing has a crossover comic book featuring the Ghostbusters and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, we're back to focusing on the big screen with the release of the latter's latest motion picture arriving in just a few weeks. Now two new TV spots have popped up online (though the video quality isn't the best) showing off more of the heroes in a half-shell. Honestly, the dynamic between the turtles is great. They're joking around while fighting, Raphael gets pissed at Leonardo in one part, and Michelangelo is just perfect. And we also briefly see the turtles' van! Watch it!

Two new TV spots for Jonathan Liebesman's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from CBM Trailers:

The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder (William Fichtner) and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April (Megan Fox) and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett) to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Clash of the Titans) and written by Josh Appelbaum & Andre Nemec (Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol). Paramount Pictures releases the film everywhere on August 8th.

After watching these trailers, I watched the trailer for the original TMNT movie. Just to remind myself they already made an amazing TMNT movie.

Does anyone know if there will be a Casey Jones?

rolyjimenez on Jul 17, 2014

They've already ruined the back story of everyone in this movie. don't be too surprised if Casey isn't even in this - I'm half scared of what they'll do to ruin his character even if he is in it...

ColtNoir on Jul 17, 2014

how did they ruin everybody's back story in this movie? Have you even seen it yet? The filmmakers are obviously doing their own thing but seem to be respecting the source material. The comics & cartoons are their own thing. Give this a chance.

It's nothing like the source material. here they're "created" by someone who we were original led to believe was playing Oroku saki - a white William fichtner, now it doesn't seem to be the case. Shredder is a giant robot - surprise it's a Michael bay inspired film. There's an awful lot fighting and explosion happening during the day in these trailers - last I checked they're supposed to be ninja. the character models look frustratingly bad - the faces, the overall lack of creativity led them to put them in PANTS/wrap a shirt to cover up the crotches...and we get it, Donnie's the nerd there's no need to put 100 gadgets on his shell and tape his glasses

I was skeptical at first but this looks like it'll be very enjoyable. Keeping my expectations low but would love to be surprised w a phenomenal tmnt movie

rolyjimenez on Jul 17, 2014

I'm very scared of the final product. I'll watch it nonetheless though

ColtNoir on Jul 18, 2014

nope, no casey in this one.

Cowabunga Dudes.

DAVIDPD on Jul 17, 2014

I'm not going to watch this. The same with the Amazing Spiderman movies. It's a waste of time (and money). Not even deserves a torrent download.

Dude... cowabunga! I am so excited about this! more than words can describe and if you're one of the people bitching... then you should be ashamed for calling yourselves turtle fans guess what the cartoons were different from the original comics the later comics were different from the original comics. You people who bitch and complain and get on the Internet and talk about your childhoods being ruined, I bet you don't even remember shit about any episode of the old turtle cartoons let alone the comics I'm a fan I have always been a fan I've watched the turtles go through many changes, never really got into the nicolodian cartoons but that's besides the point. All you people who complain about Mr. Bay... take a look in your blue ray or dvd collection you see transformers... that was a cartoon i grew up with he took it and made it a live action series you should all be thanking him, cause they would not be their if he didn't put the magic into it the work he does is amazing... you don't like it become a movie director and make a movie of your favorite cartoon or video game as a child I would put my hole measly private first class paycheck on the fact that none of you could even do half as good. Yeah you people bitch but you should look in the mirror and ask yourself what the fuck are you thinking... sitting on your couch bitching on the Internet when you know your going to watch it and your going to buy it for your children. You people should get up and make a movie cause you blow so much hot air let the real fans watch it and stop keeping up with it on the movie on the Internet if your not interested

Actually, no, I won't be buying it for my child as he has no interest in this movie. You can be a fanboy/girl without being blindly fanatical & loving about all offerings. I still have the Mirage 1st run comics of TMNT. Love most of them. I love Transformers, but have resigned myself that if Bay is involved, it'll be cool-looking robots & lots of s* blowing up, humans w/ a side of robots (although TF:AOE was a bit closer to 50/50, huzzah!). OTOH, I look forward to TF video game offerings, comics, and cartoons (aside from Robot Heroes). The fact that none of the Turtle actors are martial artists + whitewashed Splinter & Shredder actors (though maybe the latter will be incorrect under the suit) = *why?*. They've already confirmed that Leo & Splinter will have VAs - why not do similar to what they did in the 90s , allowing for modern FX tech & have martial artists MoCap while VAs do their thing? I will probably see it in theaters, but I'm not losing sleep for Midnight madness, and unless the "geek-sites" reviews are glowing I'm not paying evening-show prices much less the 3D upcharge. And unless those reviews are glowing, if I don't see this film until it's on video, I am not going to kick myself.

Sigh... to each, his own. I'm Syked that's really all I'm worried about. Pointless arguing with haters. At least the turtles the same ones that livened up my childhood for hours on end are getting another live action film after all these years.
