Van Damme Tries to Survive 'Welcome to the Jungle' Red Band Trailer
We've seen the goofy first trailer for Jean-Claude Van Damme's first straight-up comedy, Welcome to the Jungle. But now we get a better taste at the wild comedy with a new red band trailer that certainly gets a little vulgar. This could either be a spectacular mess or a laugh riot, and unfortunately, this may lean more towards the former. Van Damme looks like he's having a lot of fun, but the writing doesn't seem to be delivering comedy greatness. Kristen Schaal, Rob Huebel and Adam Brody can be extremely funny, but we're not sure if they can make this one work. We rather he do some mainstream action again. Watch!
Here's the red band trailer for Rob Meltzer's Welcome to the Jungle, originally from Yahoo:
Welcome to the Jungle marks the feature directorial debut of Rob Meltzer, and the writing debut of Jeff Kauffman. The film follows action veteran Jean-Claude Van Damme in his first comedy as unhinged former Marine Storm Rothchild, hired to take out a group of unsuspecting office workers to a desert island for a corporate retreat. But the trip falls apart when they find themselves stranded with no pilot. Adam Brody, Kristen Schaal, Bobby Lee, Rob Huebel, Megan Boone and Dennis Haysbert and more star in the Universal Pictures International Entertainment film arriving on VOD and limited theaters on February 7th, 2014.
I'm embarrassed for everyone who made this film and I'm embarrassed for those poor saps who will end up watching it. Even watching the trailer was a humiliating experience.

How embarrassing for JCVD.

I'm guessing JCVD ends up wearing a tiger-skin hat later on.

This looks awesome, I don't care what anyone says. I've been waiting for a Van Damme movie like this for ten years.
