COMIC-CON 2014
Video Blog: Recap of Marvel Studios Comic-Con 2014 Hall H Panel

Another year, another Comic-Con, another exciting Marvel Studios panel to end three days of madness. This time it was the return of the Avengers. A few years ago, Marvel brought the entire Avengers cast down to Comic-Con and it was a historic reveal to have them all there, all on stage, for the fans to scream cheer at. This year they tried to do that again, bringing most of the cast from Joss Whedon's follow-up Avengers: Age of Ultron. Whedon couldn't make it, but they did show us footage from Avengers 2 as well as another promo reel for Peyton Reed's Ant-Man made specifically for Comic-Con. After exiting the panel we took a moment to record a quick video blog with our thoughts and reactions to all the footage we saw today. Enjoy.
Here's our first video blog from Comic-Con 2014 featuring Ethan and I discussing Marvel's Hall H panel:
We did our best to record this quickly after the panel, and I apologize if we seem a bit tired, as we just spent the entire day sitting inside Hall H after camping out the entire night (with little sleep) to get in to begin with. The early footage for both Ant-Man and Avengers: Age of Ultron looked good, and I won't say it was incredible, but I do have high hopes for where they're going with the Avengers sequel. Recap our live blog coverage of the Hall H panel (in text) here and check out all of our updates/posts from Comic-Con 2014. While we were hoping for a few more surprises/announcements or something more, it was still an exciting presentation and I'm glad we were able to experience yet another Marvel Studios Hall H show at Comic-Con.

Gosh, when I said Marvel shouldn't come to SDCC, they shouldn't have. Oh yay obviously some Avengers 2 footage and oh yay announcements that have already been confirmed long before. No surprises at all. Nothing on Dr.Strange? I know it's coming in 2016 but come on they have been teasing it alot this month. Nothing about the recently announced announcement dates except GOTG 2 which was pretty obvious. And absolutely nothing on their own upcoming Netflix series!? The Daredevil series has already started filming with a cast no first look at costume or any type of concept art nothing at all are you serious Marvel!? And just more Ant-Man test footage. What the heck happened Marvel you were supposed to bring your A game in this! What a disappointment.

I guess it might be news to somebody who doesn't keep up with things, but to those of us who do Marvel's offerings were pretty boring. I was expecting something on a project we didn't know about: maybe a Black Panther announcement? More from Dr. Strange, maybe. Something other than a bunch of Avengers 2 shit we already know about...

To be fair, it is a "marvel" they got their entire AVENGERS 2 cast together, plus Brolin.
