As the start of production on Universal's franchise revival Jurassic World looms closer, the cast is filling out rather nicely. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard have a couple of lead roles with Jake Johnson also along in some capacity, and they'll be joined by younger stars Nick Robinson (The Kings of Summer) and Ty Simpkins (Iron Man 3). Now the dinosaur adventure from Safety Not Guaranteed director Colin Trevorrow has a bad guy with Deadline announcing Vincent D'Onofrio (Men in Black, "Law & Order: Criminal Intent) has landed the role on a villain. However, we don't know why he's a bad guy without any plot details.
In addition, The Amazing Spider-Man and Life of Pi star Irrfan Khan has landed some sort of role in the film that hits theaters in 3D on June 12th, 2015, as part of the year's huge blockbuster line-up. Steven Spielberg is producing the reboot to the film franchise he launched back in 1993, along with Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley in tow. The film won't have to work too hard to top the unimpressive Jurassic Park III, but the legacy of this series certainly puts the pressure on. We're hoping Trevorrow can inject the spirit of adventure from his aforementioned hit indie into his first tentpole. Thoughts?

Vinnie D plays menacing very well so I'm pretty excited about this casting. Safety Not Guaranteed was fine (not great/not bad) but it didn't make me think that the director should be in charge of the next Jurassic Park movie. The article was right though in that being better than JPIII should be easily within his grasp.

If Vincent is to play a "bad guy" in Jurassic Park, and if they go by the novel, maybe he'll be playing Dodson (which is really the only "villain" I can recall in the series). Cause the only other "villain" in the trilogy was Peter Ludlow and the raptors, haha.
