Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

This weekend, the latest iteration of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hits theaters, and unfortunately, as someone who was excited about this film, it turned out to be a pretty big disappointment. But that doesn't mean fans still can't enjoy the past glory of the heroes in a half shell. Kevin Eastman's comic book creations have a long history and big fanbase. So how did such a ludicrous concept end up being a worldwide sensation resulting in endless toys, comics, bedsheets, video games and more? You can find out with a brief video history of their creation and an informative tribute to their modern legacy. Watch below!

Here's the video on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles phenomenon from JoBlo:

The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder (William Fichtner) and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April (Megan Fox) and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett) to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Clash of the Titans) and written by Josh Appelbaum & Andre Nemec (Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol). Paramount Pictures releases the film everywhere on August 8th.

Miss my turtles. They were the best when I was a kid.

The more you diss the movie, the more I want to see it. Weird.
