Watch: Billy Crystal Gives Robin Williams a Beautiful Emmys Tribute

At last night's 66th Primetime Emmy Awards, the traditional "In Memoriam" tribute honored all those from the world television and film we had lost in the past year. But one standout was a touching tribute to Robin Williams by his longtime friend and comedy colleague Billy Crystal. The two have appeared together countless times, and when they combined their comedy powers, the result was some of the most exhilarating entertainment you had ever seen, most of it improvised. Crystal called his late friend "the brightest star in the comedy galaxy," and we couldn't agree more. You can watch the whole tribute below.

Crystal also said, "I spent many happy hours with Robin onstage. The brilliance was astounding, the relentless energy was kind of thrilling. I used to think that if I could just put a saddle on him and stay on for eight seconds, I was gonna do okay.” Williams loved comedy and it poured out through him in buckets, right along with his signature sweat. This loss still hurts, and having someone like Crystal deliver this tribute really made it that much more touching. We're going to miss him and his gift for big laughs for a long time.
